Our team was founded in 2012 and became an active member of the New England tennis community in 2016. We are both recreational and competitive in nature. Being a co-ed team, we play a combination of singles, doubles, and mixed doubles. We practice regularly during the school year and play matches and tournaments against other Club Tennis teams from colleges and universities in the area.

 

We provide a medium between MIT’s pre-existing NCAA Varsity Athletics program and the Intramural Tennis league so that those who are interested in lower commitment but high level tennis have a place to do so here at MIT. Our members are passionate about the sport and have played competitive tennis for much of their life, including high school varsity players as well as some college players.

 

We play in local tournaments and matches against other Club Tennis teams and participate in the New England Sectionals every year. We are eager to continue competing in larger tournaments on a national scale.
